Ayla Hibri’s works attempt to slow down time in order to shed light on the complexities and banalities of the real. Drawing inspiration from visual data she collects on the psychogeography of places and the elements and archetypes that exist within it, she creates works that unveil an interconnectedness of what is visible and invisible. Hibri is a regular contributor to a number of publications. Her latest book with KaphBooks will be released in November 2018. Hibri lives and works in Beirut.
